This book deals with the past and present position of medical practice in Nigeria and examines some of its conceivable challenges. The author approached the subject from its broadest and most realistic sense to ensure that traditional and scientific medical practices are covered; such as the origins of medical practice with special reference to Nigeria, the evolution of medical associations, medical journalism and medical education. These were derived from field research. Nevertheless, it features some names and places that sound and seem familiar or commonplace and others that have either been forgotten or are only poorly remembered. The book is crafted to stimulate various audiences who should not only share in this story but also through individual recollections fill knowledge gaps.
