The Growth and Development of Education in Nigeria addresses issues in the Nigerian educational system covering all the three main levels of education as well as emerging trends from both the historical and contemporary perspectives. The book consists of thirty chapters with two chapters focusing on issues in pre-primary and primary education; three chapters relating to secondary education, another three chapters discussing higher education, and four chapters treating issues in science and technology education. The remain eight chapters look at contemporary issues in the Nigerian education and system, ranging from target group education, through contributions of bodies such as WAEC, PTAs and alumni associations, to more general issues like population education and unionism in institutions of learning.
